About this app

Survival Feeds:

This app identifies several RSS feeds dealing with the subjects of "survival", "emergency preparedness", "flu - pandemic" and "financial news" then updates the data every time you are connected to the web (WiFi/3G connection is a must) and run the application.   By combining all these feeds into a simple and easy to use application that displays the text in large format on your iPhone, iTouch, or iPad, you can quickly keep up with what's going on at these sites without having to browse, zoom-in, read, pan, zoom-out, scroll, zoom-in, read, pan, zoom-out.... you get the point.

So what is an RSS feed anyway?

Wiki explains it this way:
RSS (most commonly expanded as Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video in a standardized format.  An RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel") includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship. Web feeds benefit publishers by letting them syndicate content automatically. They benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favored websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place.

I hope you like the application.  I look forward to your feedback and suggestions to make it better.  If you have websites you would like added, send the links to me and I'll try to get them added.  Look under contact for email address.

Thanks,

Dave
